Wizard Renovations Inc. in Wilder, Canyon County, Idaho began as a partnership between Michael McGarvin and Julie Marlatt.  Michael’s background begins with a degree in construction management with emphasis in structural. He joined his family’s construction business in Caldwell, Idaho in the 1970’s. He became a journeyman carpenter in 1976 and in1982 started business in the residential building trade. Michael joined in partnership with Julie Marlatt in 1995 to make what has become a very well rounded team. She has a strong background in lumber and material procurement, interior and exterior design. She is a journeyman painter, wall paper tech and has been working as a carpentry apprentice for three years.

We are a family oriented business with family oriented goals in mind. We have carefully chosen our team of carpenters to provide the best quality possible. If we are building a custom home or doing a remodel, we want our clients to feel as if they are part of our team instead of sitting on the sidelines. We strive to make our customers comfortable and feel that they are a part of the process from start to finish. We appreciate questions and concerns that may arise during the construction process. It is especially important to us to build the project to the homeowner specifications. This makes for happy customers and avoids costly change orders. The customer comes first-after all it is their dream even though we proudly build each and every project as if it were our own.

Because of our old fashioned values, we proudly build each and every project with our own hands. This highlights us as being one of the only full service contracting firms. At least one of our management team is on site daily through out the whole project. We feel that daily meetings or interactions with our clients is a must and productively mandatory.

Should you choose Wizard Renovations Inc. for your project, from the beginning you will be treated as family and with dignity and respect through the completion of your dreams. You will certainly enjoy the personalities and positive attitudes of all our master and journeyman carpenters daily. Our team has received the reputation for being some of the very best carpenters, both framing and finish, in the entire Treasure Valley. We practice perfection daily-just ask our clients.

In our business, passion is not an overused word. It is the fuel that keeps us going and growing. We never lose sight of our goals. Our faith drives us forward and our positive attitude is the foundation to our success.

Stephen and his "Skill Saw" working on a custom mantle

While working in McCall, this customer decided she needed to keep an eye on our progress.

We were contacted by the Wilder School District to support them in their first annual “Wildcat Run for Education”. We proudly sponsored the “Finish Line” and hope to do so for many years to come.

With two weeks notice, we were asked by West Valley Medical Center to join them in sponsoring a float for the Caldwell Night Light Parade 2011. Our shop was quickly taken over with the holiday spirit.

So our first attempt at building a float for the Caldwell Night Light Parade 2011 with West Valley Medical Center (and Noe Construction supplying the truck and trailer) was a great success with us winning the Best Use of Lights award!
